A man reached a vaidya asking for cure of a skin disease which had affected his family badly. His parents had died because of this disease & his children also inherited this disease from him. Vaidya told him a method to brew a potion which will cure this disease. He also warned that an overdose may result in side effects. He also told the man that first dose of the potion will be brewed for him by Vaidya as only a healthy person shall brew the potion. After the man is cured, he can brew the potion for his children.
Man took the first dose & reached home with the recipe of the potion. Next day he was almost cured, but he needed more of the potion to get completely cured. He reached vaidya's home only to know that vaidya died last night in a tragic accident. Desperately in need of cure for himself & his children, he brewed the potion himself, not relying on anyone else as others might also have some different disease. He took a dose of self brewed potion expecting to get completely cured.
However, since the potion was not brewed by a healthy person, & since it was taken in excess quantity, it showed its side effect, & resulted in a different kind of skin disease. Man, not having any knowledge of disease & cures, continued to take doses of self brewed potions, though careful to brew fresh potion daily. Now, he is desperately taking bigger doses unaware of that a different disease has got him in its grip due to these doses. Also, his children are still waiting for their turn to be cured.
None can help this man as he is not willing to listen to anyone.
May GOD show mercy...
